Delete all your Google search history from your web browser spanking clean.

Looking for ways to clear your Google search history? Whether you are taking steps to guard your privacy or just trying to remove your embarrassing search activities, we got you.

Your search history on Google contains more information than you may realize. It can host all sorts of your info from where you bank to your medical histories. It also stores all the embarrassing search queries you’ve run in the past.

There is a plenty of reasons why you may want to remove your digital footprints from prying eyes.

Regardless of your reasons, luckily you can delete all your Google search data saved on your browser with these simple steps.

As a matter of a fact, do this browser clean-up periodically as part of an effort to safeguard your private data online. It’s really no point to have all your life’s worth of search activities saved on your browser.

Periodical clean-up of your digital life can help reduce your digital footprint and enhance security and privacy.

With that said, before you wipe out years of your search history, there are two things you need to note.

One is that you can’t get back the deleted history. Once you delete it, it’s gone for good (at least on your end). If there are some sites you visited before that you need access to, be sure to save them elsewhere.

Secondly, deleting your Google search history on your end doesn’t mean Google wipes out your activities on their end.

Google keeps your search data even after you delete your history of activities.

With that said, if you frequently use a shared computer and want to learn how to remove your search history, here are the steps you can follow.

How to delete Google search history from Chrome

  1. Open the Chrome web browser
On your computer, open the Chrome browser. It doesn’t matter what page is open.
  2. Click the three vertical dots
In the top right corner of your browser, notice the button with three vertical dots.
  3. Click History from the drop-down menu
When you click the vertical dots, you will see a drop-down menu. From the menu, find and select History. Alternatively, you may also use a shortcut Command + H for Mac or Ctrl+ H for PC to get to the History.
  4. Select Clear browsing data

On the left-hand side of your screen, find the Clear browsing data and select. A new Privacy and Security page will open.

Under Privacy and Security, select Clear Browing Data.

Choose the time range

On the clear browsing data popup, select the time range from the first drop-down menu. You can choose from the last hour to all time.

Select Clear Data

Once you pick the time frame of history you want to erase and what you want to erase, select Clear Data to finalize your selection and delete your history.
